Image Processing for Teaching (IPT) is a program developed by the University of Arizona in response to a challenge by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for educators to provide projects using high technology in the classroom. The project's initial objective was to use imaging technology to make science and mathematics more appealing to students who have traditional shunned the topics. After six years, it has proved successful.
