Ciriaco Lagunzad, executive director of the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), said the President attended the labor sector consultations at the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) in Quezon City and in Pampanga.

Lagunzad said the commission has confirmed the presence of a "supervening condition" that requires an increase in the salary of minimum wage earners in 12 regions, namely, the National Capital Region (NCR) and Regions 2, 3, 6, 4A, 4B, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13.
