The Air Force is today expected to unveil the first part of its long-awaited strategic vision in Washington, D.C.
The document - dubbed Global Engagement: A Vision for the 21st Century Air Force - has been shaped over the past year and a half and will serve as a blueprint for the Air Force of the 21st century in which space, precision strike, rapid mobility and information warfare will play increasingly significant roles in defeating the varied and uncertain threats the nation will face in the next century (Defense Daily, Nov. 1).
