NEW YORK -- A.V. by Versace Inc., a Laredo, Texas, apparel firm, filed suit against Italy-based Gianni Versace SpA and Alfredo Versace claiming they unfairly competed and interfered with the business contract of its largest customer, World Foot Locker.
According to court papers filed in Manhattan federal court, A.V. by Versace claims the defendants were unfairly competing with it by trying to prevent it from using the unregistered Alfredo Versace trademark on apparel.
