The new sports news and information network being launched by Cable News Network and Sports Illustrated has already signed up to one-dozen advertisers for its Dec. 12 launch, including a handful of yearlong charter sponsors.
Circuit City, Corona Beer, Thrifty Rent-A-Car, General Motors Corp., Delta Airlines, American Express, Chrysler Corp., Johnson & Johnson, LCI International Inc., Minolta, Mercedes-Benz and Logo Athletics are now on CNN/SI's advertiser roster, said Greg D'Alba, executive vice president of sales for CNN.
