Arawak Energy net profit declines 17% in Q3
MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Canadian Arawak Energy Limited, an independent oil and gas company with exploration, development and production in Kazakhstan, Russia and Azerbaijan, saw net profit decline 17% in the third quarter year-on-year to $6.4 million, the company reported.
Tax payments rose 56% in the quarter due to rate hikes in Kazakhstan, the company said.
Revenue increased 66% to $93.6 million. Sales grew 16% to 1.179 billion barrels at an average price of $79.3 per barrel.
