BURNS WELCOMES NEWS OF AER LINGUS.

SDLP MLA for South Antrim Thomas Burns has welcomed the news that Aer Lingus intend to begin flights from Belfast International Airport direct to London Heathrow in August.

The carrier plans to operate four flights a day in each direction.

Mr. Burns commented: "This is excellent news for travellers, especially the business community. The reinstatement of this route is something I have long called for.
