Nov. 11--A two-story, 44-room Country Inn and Suites By Carlson is going up on the north side of Shipshewana, Ind.

The inn is scheduled to open in April. It is being built by Country Partners, a partnership formed for that purpose by LaGrange County developers Jay Dee Hostetler and Charles Daub.

The Victorian-style property is situated on 3 acres next to Valley View Estates, a Shipshewana subdivision Hostetler is developing. It is the first Country Inn franchise in Indiana.
