Get Ready! To get a feel for the Mexican market, let's examine some statistics first. Mexico has a population of 92.2 million people. They speak Spanish and Mestizo. The majority of the population is Roman Catholic, 6% is Protestant, and 5% comprises other religions.

The racial mix is 55% Mestizo, 29% Amerindian, 15% white, 0.5% black, and 0.5% other. Between 1991 and 1994, Mexico's economic growth rate decreased from 3.6% to 3.5%. The inflation rate also fell, from a high of 18.8% in 1991 to 7.1% in 1994.
