Cotton Inc hopes to increase cotton's share of the carpet and rug market to 5% by 2001. Cotton's share of that market stands at less than 1%, the organization estimates. One component of Cotton Inc's campaign is a new trademark intended to raise consumer awareness of cotton as a rug and carpet fiber.
