The Concordat and Formula, if approved at the ELCA's Churchwide Assembly in Philadelphia, PA, in 1997, will establish full communion among ELCA, Episcopal and three Reformed churches. Most congregations favor the proposal, which would give Lutherans and non-Lutherans church unity.
