STERLING/ARLINGTON - James O. Corbett, 79, retired Arlington firefighter, of Sterling, formerly of Arlington, died Oct. 3 surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Edith (Riessle) "Betty" Corbett of Sterling; father of Timothy and wife, Judy, of Sterling, with whom he lived with, Shawn and wife, Peggy, of Lancaster, James of Stoneham, Niall and wife, Debora, of Avon, Darlene Alosso and husband, Albert, of Somerville and Sheila Cooke of Everett; grandfather of 11 grandchildren.
