WORCESTER - People were seen leaving a boarded-up house at 26 Newbury St. a half-hour before it went up in flames yesterday afternoon, fire officials said.

District Fire Chief Cliff DeCourcy said there were no injuries, and nobody was inside the home when firefighters responded. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Chief DeCourcy said witnesses told fire investigators "a couple" of people were seen leaving the house about 3:30 p.m.
