The University of London's campus has been brightened up with the opening of the School of Oriental and African Studies' new Islamic Arts Center. With a non-committal exterior, the building has a 300-seat lecture theater, informal social and academic spaces, seminar rooms, offices for the academic staff, and galleries. It was designed by Nicholas Hare, owner of Nicholas Hare Architects.
