THE return of quiz show The Krypton Factor after a 13-year absence has been welcomed by pundits as the latest triumph for TV nostalgia.
Once dubbed "television's toughest" quiz, the programme joins the ranks of Family ortunes, Mastermind and Gladiators in enjoying a revival after being discontinued.
The iconic slice of late 1970s and 1980s broadcasting, which returns next year, was originally hosted by Gordon Burns and ran for 18years before being axed in 1995 by ITV.
