Political philosopher Hannah Arendt's writings provide clues regarding her concept on human rights. Arendt did not formulate a single theory on human rights. However, the issue was extensively discussed in the books 'The Origins of Totalitarianism' and 'Eichmann in Jerusalem.' She established the relationship between sovereignity and human dignity, the importance of politically empowering citizens, and the necessity of examining the ethical aspects of human rights.
