What is today known as Linden Hall School for Girls was founded by the Moravians in Lititz, Pennsylvania, in 1746. In 1984 many of the school's early papers were discovered by Patricia T. Herr and Patricia J. Keller tied in neat bundles in attic eaves, basement corners, and elsewhere on the campus. These documents comprise account books, letters, and other school records.
