THE grand estate of former Taoiseach Charlie Haughey is now a crumbling relic of its glory days.

As our exclusive pictures show, the home and grounds are a long way from their regal past when Haughey rode on horseback viewing the woods and ornamental lake surrounding the house.

Haughey's widow Maureen bade an emotional farewell to the 300-year-old Abbeville mansion for the last time on Friday after holding a private drinks reception.

She moved out of the home she shared with her husband from 1969 for the last time ...
