Painter Jack Ox exhibited her latest series of works visualizing the patterns found in music at the Catherine Clark Gallery in San Francisco, CA. Ox has developed a system for analyzing music in terms of musicological theory which are then translated into content, color and orientation representing each segment of a musical piece. Her translation of sound into visual form produces colorful patterns that recreate the lyrical quality of the music.
