Exhibitions are being staged at the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York, NY and at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England to celebrate the centennial of the death of Victorian-era rug designer William Morris. Morris' designs are replete with the detailed and colorful flourishes which characterized Victorian-era rugs.

DALTON, Ga.--This is the year of William Morris. A hundred years after his death, there are two major museum exhibitions devoted to his works, as the eminent Victorian remains an inspiration to designers of rugs and textiles.
