MEXICO: MOODY'S REVIEWS BARCLAYS BANK MEXICO'S LOCAL CURRENCY DEPOSIT RATING.

Moody's Investors Service placed Barclays Bank Mexico, S.A.'s long term global local currency (GLC) deposit rating of A1 on review for possible downgrade. All other existing ratings, including the bank financial strength rating (BFSR) of D, the Baa1/Prime-2 foreign currency deposit ratings, and the Aaa.mx/MX-1 Mexican National Scale ratings are not subject to the review. The action on Barclays Bank Mexico's rating follows a similar rating action taken on parent Barclays Bank PLC, on September 17, 2008, which placed its BFSR of B on review for possible downgrade.
