Two anonymous donors have given $20 million to UW-Madison's School of Music to build two performing venues in a prominent campus location, next to the Chazen Museum of Art and three blocks north of the Kohl Center, by early 2013.
The financial gift will shift up to 300 concerts each year by faculty and students from the hard-to-find Mills Hall and Morphy Hall - both built in 1969 and tucked in the Mosse Humanities Building - to the new building at the northwest corner of University Avenue and Lake Street.
