John Zachman's framework for information systems architecture has led to the development of the Information FrameWork (IFW). The IFW's scope and objectives are broader than Zachman's framework. A comparison of the IFW with the original Zachman framework shows the evolution, changes, and rationale behind the changes based on actual financial industry scenarios. The IFW's structure is shown to have been populated by industry-wide models and supported by a distinctive methodology.
