At the 67th annual All-Star Game at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, the National League won its third consecutive game over the American League and Mike Piazza picked up the MVP award, but it was Ozzie Smith who stole the spotlight while playing in his last mid-summer classic before retiring at the end of the season.
