NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 1996--Unapix Entertainment Inc. (AMEX:UPX) today announced that the NBC television network will launch the Unapix series -- "Ushuaia: The Ultimate Adventure" by airing a one hour prime time special based on the French hit series on Saturday, August 31 (8-9) p.m. (ET).

An additional 22 one-hour episodes of the real-life adventure series, under the title "Ushuaia: The Adventures of Nicholas Hulot," will be broadcast through NBC's other distribution outlets. It will be the first licensing of a Unapix production by any of the major networks.…
