The price of concentrated nitric acid in the domestic market increased drastically like a "well blowout" in April and May this year. The buildup of pressure started two years ago when the concentrated nitric acid market in China was slack. Ups and downs of concentrated nitric acid prices reflect the market for a large group of chemicals that have similar price behavior such as sulfur, sulfuric acid, pure benzene and aniline. What awaits concentrated nitric acid after the drastic price rise? Is it a lasting boom or an all-round bust?
