India: French Development Agency to start India operations soon.

The French Development Agency (AFD) will soon start its India operations with focus on promoting clean technologies and energy-efficient projects.

The two countries hope to ink an agreement to begin AFD operations here during the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to France later this month.

AFD, which contributed 3.5 billion euros for financing several development projects in Mediterranean countries, south east Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, looks forward to work in the areas of diversification of energy sources, urban ...
