WORKSOP Sunday League side Knights FC played the biggest game in their history at Tranmere Rovers' Prenton Park ground last week - and emerged as victors.

Knight Mortgages, who also sponsor the local league, did battle with their counterparts at Goldsmith Williams Solicitors at the League One venue, coming away from the Wirral with a 5-3 victory.

Such was the success of the night, Knights have already planned similar fixtures next season at Everton's Goodison Park or Nottingham Forest's City Ground.
