AN UNIDENTIFIED flying object was seen hovering over a field near Staithes on Monday night by a teenager returning home.

Steven Dye (18) who lives in Staithes, says he saw the phenomenon, silently shining close to where he was driving towards the village from Boulby at around 8pm.

He said: "I saw something floating in between Staithes and Hinderwell from where I was looking.
