A VIOLENT husband who kidnapped his wife from a Sheffield refuge before subjecting her to a night of rapes and beatings has been jailed and branded a danger to the public.

Adil Rahman abused his wife for years at their Manchester home before she fled across the Pennines to a Sheffield hostel for battered women.

After she fled Rahman, aged 23, printed photographs of her and trawled the Asian areas of major cities in the north trying to track her down.
