But Martin Peat and wife Dawn are making sure there's at least one link - husky dog racing!
A chance decision to buy a Siberian husky dog rather than a border collie 12 years ago led the Rotherham couple into a whole new world - and they haven't looked back since.
The couple have just returned from Scotland where Martin competed in the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain Aviemore Sled Dog Rally.
