Tabletop faceoff: Baccarat appeals Ross-Simons ruling.(Ross-Simons Jewelers Inc.)

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Baccarat Inc. is appealing a preliminary injunction granted last month, which orders the crystal supplier to resume shipping its merchandise to Ross-Simons, the second-largest tabletop retailer in the U.S. The appeal was filed in the U.S. First Circuit Court here.
The preliminary injunction was granted May 16 by senior District Judge Francis Boyle in the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island, pending a trial in the case.
