Good father fights bad father for son's soul? It's a story that has had legs from the Bible through Star Wars to A Bronx Tale, Chazz Palminteri's semi-autobiographical wiseguy aria, which sports some stems of its own: the critically acclaimed 1989 stage show that launched his career; the 1993 film version co-starring and directed by Robert De Niro; and Palminteri's 2007 one-man theatrical revival, which itself became a Broadway hit.
