SHORE angling has settled down to mainly whiting catches with a sprinkling of good-sized codling, mainly from the rock edges and the piers.
There are one or two flounders and the odd coalie being taken from the river and piers.
Sport has been very erratic, with good catches some days and a real struggle the next. Night tides have produced the better fish, with codling topping 6lb from the Hall Beach and Roker Pier.
