28 AUGUST 2008 YAREN (Pacnews) ------- Nauru is probably the only country in the world without a bank. With its phosphate industry again growing rapidly, it has launched a campaign to attract a commercial bank to its shores. Nauru's Finance Minister, Kieran Keke, says he would like to see a bank open its doors tomorrow.

Nauru has been without a bank since the collapse of the Bank of Nauru earlier this decade.

Nauru finance minister, Kieran Keke, said this creates serious problems.
