Dog thieves may have been trying to 'rescue' animals.

A dog breeder believes thieves may have stolen her 11 pets thinking they were being mistreated.
The nine adult dogs and two puppies, worth a total of [pounds sterling]4,500, were stolen from Jenny Williams' farm home in Bamber Bridge last week.
But the widow, who has previously been convicted of neglecting her dogs, is adamant the animals were well cared for in new kennels.
