The 1996 election in Israel will have little effect on the peace process. In fact, Israelis are making use of the peace process to garner American aid that in turn helps sustain their socialist system of government. The effects of US aid on the peace process and on Israel's future are discussed.
With the Israeli elections approaching and everyone, especially President Clinton, fearful that "the wrong result" will "stop the peace process," here's a prediction -- an infallible one. Whoever wins the elections, the peace process will continue.
