A REMOTE village is being labelled a no-go area by residents as teenage gangs lay streets to ruin.

Terrified residents in Widdrington Station say they are scared to wander just a few yards for groceries after dusk as the area is taken over by vandals and trouble-makers.

Reports have circulated of gangs of up to 35 gathering outside shops, including youths in ski masks, while motorists have been forced to run a gauntlet of mud-slingers.

And in the latest attacks phone boxes, bus shelters, trees and a building site have all fallen prey to the yobs.…
