|
WELL-known performer Geoff Corkish has confirmed he will stand for the House of Keys in November's general election.
The 53-year-old - who will contest the Douglas West constituency - said people had been trying to cajole him into standing for 25 years, but he had waited until he felt qualified for the job.
Mr Corkish, communications manager for the Steam Packet, is involved in a range of community groups including the Douglas Buxton Music Trust, cancer charities, the Isle of Man Church Music Association and has been a member of All Saint's Church choir for 40 years.
