Dennis F. Hightower, president of Walt Disney Television and Telecommunications, will retire June 1 in order to devote more time to personal endeavors, especially his longstanding commitment to education end youth development, the Walt Disney Company recently announced.

For the next year, he will continue as an international business consultant to Disney.

He was named president of Walt Disney Television and Telecommunications last year after eight years in Paris as president of Disney Consumer Products for Europe,the Middle East and Africa (JET, April 3, 1995).
