THE process of demolishing part of the historic Sugar Mills, Anderson Street, Driffield, has started.

It has been deemed that parts of the derelict building are now dangerous and action is being taken to stop the building crumbling unexpectedly.

A huge section of one of the most recognisable buildings in Driffield was reduced to rubble this week.

Part of the roof of the building collapsed recently, prompting firefighters and officers of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to investigate.
