A black fundamentalist stealth candidate with no previous political experience suddenly emerged to run for Congress in Kansas City. The term "stealth candidate" was described by Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition and its director, Ralph Reed, as a stranger with no previous political record who conceals his radical religious support and loyalty. Reed said that being a stealth candidate is "just good strategy. It's like guerrilla warfare. . . . It's better to move quietly, with stealth, under cover of night."
