A CITY council campaign to improve the reading and writing skills of people in Peterborough has been short-listed for a national award.
Peterborough City's Council's READ.WRITE.inspire literacy strategy has been encouraging schools, children, parents and local businesses to get excited about literacy, and has been short-listed in the 2007 LGC Awards innovation category.
Last year, the READ.WRITE. inspire team launched the first ever Peterborough Children's Film Awards in July for local primary, junior and infant schools.
