PLANS for a multi-million- pound revamp of a major Leeds shopping centre have been savaged by councillors.

Part of the proposed redesign of the Headrow Shopping Centre was dismissed as resembling "1960s Coventry" and the council's city centre plans panel has called for more work on the scheme.

Propinvest Headrow Ltd Partnership wants to carry out major improvements to the 1980s-built centre, including the demolition of King Charles House, changes to the internal layout, a three-storey extension spanning King Charles Croft, alteration of the Lands Lane, Headrow and King ...
