In Hangar Theatre's wonderful production of John Millington Synge's "The Playboy of the Western World," director Robert Moss and his cast go right at the heart of Synge's 1907 comedy, filling the Hangar stage with the gusto and honesty that make Synge's play a treasure, and leaving the audience with delighted faces at the end.

David Meyer's set is a rough but comfortable-enough stone house that is also a pub.
