New World Communications Group Inc. and Spelling Entertainment Group Inc. have been on the selling block, but potential buyers feel the companies are priced too high. A variety of acquisition situations are being speculated. News Corp. is a potential buyer of all or part of New World. Potential acquirers of Spelling include Viacom, PolyGram and NBC.
