The campaign to preserve the Persian language from foreign invaders is being badly dented by the government itself as it prominently parades those foreign invaders across its very own websites.
Take the Ministry of the Interior website listing all the candidates for last spring's Majlis elections. Each candidate was listed in alphabetical order by "nam," not by "esm." The Persian esm, for name, has been completely displaced by the French/English word.
