Following a closely-contested encounter, Bury ran out deserved winners.
With the usual balance of youth and experience in their team, Bury elected to start the game playing down the hill.
After a fairly even opening 10 minutes, Bury were awarded the put in at a scrum close to the Sudbury line. The home forwards drove the Sudbury pack over their own line and No. 8 Footer claimed the first score of the match.
