Chinese government specifies functions of National Energy Administration

INTERFAX-CHINA - China's State Council has specified the functions and obligations of the National Energy Administration, a new government institution set up in March, according to a statement released by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on July 29.

Experts believe that the administration will be critical to the country's energy development, and will likely be promoted to a ministry in the future.
