Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival is `going green'.

SHREWSBURY - With summer just getting under way, members of the Spirit of Shrewsbury Committee are already hard at work preparing for events at the end of September.

As in years past, the committee has selected a theme for the Spirit of Shrewsbury (SOS). This year, the theme is "going green," which will capitalize on the national and governmental push to promote environmental awareness.

"Everyone agrees the green theme is a very current practice; it's very timely," said Town Manager Daniel Morgado.
